    APPLES

    BRAEBURN

    Braeburn is New Zealand’s biggest volume apple variety. They have a semi-sweet flavor with a juicy, crisp white flesh. They also tend to have a bold, red stripe on a partially orangey-red background.  Braeburn apples also have excellent storage qualities.

    ROYAL GALA

    After the Braeburn variety of apples, the Royal Gala variety is New Zealand’s second largest volume variety.  Significant features of the Royal Gala apple include the bright red stripe over a creamy background. It also has a sweet, crisp flavour.

    The Fuji Apple is a Japanese variety. They are very sweet in flavour and their colour varies from a soft pink to a brilliant bright red.

    The Granny Smith apple has a crisp, white flesh and is a bright, vibrant green in colour. It has a tangy and refreshing taste which makes it excellent for cooking/baking.

    PACIFIC BEAUTY

    The Pacific Beauty variety is a scientific cross between a Gala and a Splendour apple that

    was developed in New Zealand. It is a medium sized apple with a crisp juicy flesh and a sweet rich flavour.

    PACIFIC ROSE

    The Pacific Rose was developed in New Zealand and is a cross of a Gala and Splendour. It has a very unique rose pink skin colour. They are medium to large in size, with a rich, sweet flavour and crisp juicy flesh.

    The New Zealand Queen apple is a variety that is the same Gala/Splendour cross as a Pacific Rose and also originated in New Zealand. The New Zealand Queen apple is dark red in colour, with a sweet crisp inner flesh.
